Plants require both macronutrients and micronutrients to grow full and healthy.  Macronutrients are those the plant uses in large amounts while micronutrients are only needed in small amounts or as trace nutrients in the growing medium.

The main three basic essential macronutrients are:
~ Nitrogen,
~ Phosphorous and
~ Potassium (NPK)

Calcium, Magnesium and Sulfur are also very important.

Micronutrients plus supplements are required by plants during different stages of growth. A balanced feeding schedule is needed to ensure maximum results are achieved and stress/deficiencies are avoided. Vitamins, amino acids and carbohydrates increase plant
vigor, yield, aroma and taste when added at the right times.

Nutrient balance and strength is important when mixing feeding solutions so don’t forget to pick up a feed chart and one of our PPM meters to avoid plant burn.
